Post Graduate Programme: "Cinema in Education: Theory and Creative Practices"

The general objective of the course is to introduce the basic techniques and technologies of photography, mise en scene, sound and editing through lectures and very short assessment tasks, so that they can function as animators and trainers for the creation of audiovisual works in an educational environment, having a deeper understanding of the practical and theoretical dimension of the educational practice that utilizes audiovisual arts and digital technological media.

Upon completion of the curriculum, students will be able to:

• understand the basic principles and techniques of filmmaking
• recognize the different types of equipment and their basic characteristics
• come into first contact with basic editing functions, at the level of form, representation-narration and meaning
• use basic elements of software use for editing, mixing, editing moving images and sound
• understand the basic aesthetic principles related to their respective work depending on the genre
• utilize this knowledge and skills when implementing film education programs and implementing teaching scripts
• are able to supervise and assist in the creation of audiovisual works within the framework of an educational institution, formal and informal education

• Image and audio editing
• Application examples and good practices in an educational environment
