The current demand for adapting educational models to the data of the time makes it necessary to investigate pioneering educational methods, by the comprehensive and targeted knowledge of the forms of film education. Deepening the issues arising from the operation of alternative learning methods, new scientists need to respond to the development of film studies as well as developments in the field of education and in the field of educational sciences.
At a national and European level, the postgraduate programme "Cinema in Education: Theory and Creative Practices" is, in terms of the combination of the cognitive subjects it treats, a unique case. At a national level, there are no postgraduate programs that treat exclusively the subject of film education and audiovisual literacy. At a European level, there are very few postgraduate programs that exclusively treat the subject of film education and audiovisual literacy.
The postgraduate education precisely combines and balances theory and practice, so that the holder of the postgraduate diploma will possess the necessary framework of concepts of film theory, using it later in the field of education.
